FIRST ELITE CAMPING COMPLEX IN JAPAN

Glemping (glamorous camping) is a fairly new concept for Japan. When it comes to camping, the Japanese say it’s a good thing, but when it comes to living there, they love comfort too. Hoshino Resorts has a reputation as a provider of first-class real estate, paying close attention to details and service. The group is one of the leaders of the segment, creating the first elite camping complex that Japan can be proud of, it is worth spending a vacation in the autumn in this place.

Such a holiday is not at all like what is called “living a savage.” Tourists who bought a trip to Japan in the fall and decided to come here, are awaited by the luxurious camping site – Hoshinoya Fuji Hotel, which guarantees a first-class vacation. It starts from the reception – a separate building at the foot of the hill.

FEATURES OF REST
Guests are invited to choose a backpack, inside which are essential items for adventure, including binoculars, a flashlight, strengthened on the head, a map of the hotel, a steel flask for hot drinks, an insect repellent and an inflatable pillow.

Next, guests will be waiting for a trip on a steep winding road to the reception and houses. Hammocks are stretched between red pines, and yoga classes take place on one of the wooden terraces on the hillside.

At the very top is the Library Cafe, which has a stove for heating in winter. However, even in the coldest time of the year, guests prefer to gather around the campfire in the fresh air. On the terraces, some of which are covered with floor covering, there are bean bags, lounge chairs and comfortable chairs.

For camping they have chosen a very picturesque place. The houses are located among the red pines, which are also part of the entourage. There are also sakura trees that can be admired in spring, and Japanese maples, especially beautiful in autumn. Numerous smaller terraces provide privacy. And the view from the houses is breathtaking.

Are GUESTS SLEEPING ON OPEN AIR?
Helpful staff, no doubt, could arrange this. However, tourists wishing to meet autumn in Japan, a tour in which will be a source of unforgettable emotions, are advised to sleep in a cabin. The hotel has 40 houses, the area of the smallest of them – 122 square meters. There is a place for a huge bed, and for en-suite bathroom.

In the most popular houses there are wood-burning stoves on the terrace, which makes them cozy even during the cold winter months. Each room has a panoramic window that overlooks Lake Kawaguchi and the majestic Mount Fuji towering over it.

There is nothing more fascinating than sitting on the balcony and watching the clouds that form around the top of the mountain, and then gradually dissipate. A string of clouds swims past the valley to the lake. On summer nights on the mountainside you can see a barely noticeable chain of lights: tourists make a long climb to the top.

WHAT IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE IN TOURISTS IN THE CAMPING COMPLEX?
In addition to participating in the preparation of a variety of dishes, guests can try their hand at felling firewood or, in the early morning, swim in a Canadian canoe across the lake.

The hotel organizes horseback riding on private paths, gives lessons on how to smoke food, invites guests on excursions to study flora and fauna. In the forest live flying squirrels, deer and hawks.

In the early morning and late evening in the forest, wellness training sessions are also held, treasure hunt games and movies are watched outdoors for children.

POWER DURING GOLMPING
In the morning, guests are offered a choice between hot sandwiches under a canopy in the woods or a more substantial breakfast, including Spanish omelet, bacon, sausages, greens, homemade bread, yogurt and soup.

Travelers will be able to taste various local delicacies at the campsite. Snacks (curry, udon or beef with rice) are available around the clock, and grilling marshmallow on sticks over an open fire is a popular pastime. At Cloud Kitchen, guests can cook a pizza from local ingredients by sending it to be baked in a small roasting pan.

For anyone who has spent a day outdoors, the Grill Dining restaurant offers a five-course extravaganza. The chef helps visitors to roast their chosen pieces of meat, which are perfectly combined with the wines of the Yamanashi prefecture.
